The Concert Band is the most advanced band in the BH-BL school district. Performing some of the most exciting and challenging music that is published, the band presents programs to the community during the months of October, December, March, and May.
Each year the Concert Band competes for a rating at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival. To date the band has received Level VI Gold Award 20 years in a row, 11 of which have been Gold "with Distinction". Some years the Concert Band travels to compete in a festival, usually accompanied by the Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Concert Choir, and Select Choir. Recent trips have been to Toronto, Virginia Beach, Montreal, Washington DC, Boston, England, and Disney World. We have one major fundraiser to help defray out-of-pocket costs for the trip, and the Friends of Music always contribute.

In addition to the concert and festival performances, the Concert Band proudly participates in Veteran's Day and Memorial Day ceremonies that take place at "Freedom Circle" in front of the high school.
